Political Action Committee
In 2001, the will of Colorado voters regarding access to medical marijuana by the sick became apparent through the passing of Amendment 20. Now in 2010, not only the will of the voters is at stake, but our very civil liberties are held for legal debate. HB1284 and SB109 represent some of the largest increases in full time state government employees in the past decade, the creation of a police force not bound by the same regulations as other agencies, and invades citizens personal medical records, just to name a few of the disgraces. In response to this disregard for the will of the people, concerned Colorado citizens will be forming a PAC (Political Action Committee). The purpose of this PAC shall include:
- The initiation and collection of signatures for an alternative Constitutional Amendment to HB1284 and SB109 that reflects both a medically evidence based model and the will of the citizens.
- Development of patient-representative committees for organized public responses, scientific, political, and legal policies/education incorporating the compromised interests of patients, dispensaries, and law enforcement.
- Serve as a mediator between the medical marijuana industry, the public, and those entities whom encourage regulation of this market.
